Leonard Hofstadter

Leonard stars as Sheldon's roommate and is one of the five main characters in the show. Johnny Galecki plays a very nervous and awkward guy. Even though Leonard might come out as a weak leader, he is the glue that keeps the group together, he is determined and under pressure he always achieves his goals.


Sheldon Cooper

He is a peculiar guy, always does the same thing, and has little understanding of how sarcasm and irony work. He tries to bond and act like a normal person would, but it's not in his nature to do so and this results into some of the most comic scenes in the whole series. Sheldon is the smartest of the group and is stubborn he will not give in as easily as any of the others in the group and he has a specific spot in his living room couch. We can say that Sheldon has a lot of hysterical, highly tuned and out of the ordinary customs that you will surely enjoy!


Howard Wolowitz

Howard is your not-so-typical jewish aerospace engineer since he believes he is a ladies' man which almost always ends in a slap in the face or a disgusted look from the women. He dated and is now engaged to Bernadette Rostenkowski. He is the only one who lacks a Ph. D and is highly defensive when the others joke about this fact.


Rajesh Koothrappali

Rajesh or Raj, as his friends call him, comes from India and works as a particle astrophysicist at Caltech. He is very insecure when it comes to talking to women. He always makes bad jokes on the current situation in India, which i believe are just insulting and unnecessary. All in all, Raj is very sweet and when he takes a sip of alcohol becomes the party animal we all wish to have inside.


Penny

She might as well be called Mama Penny! She is the sweetest person in the show and treats the guys as normal people and tries to understand why they do what they do. She comes from Omaha, Nebraska and works as a waitress at The Cheescake Factory. Her biggest dream is to become an actress and up until now she has booked a couple of commercials. She has a on and off relation with Leonard in the fourth and fifth season.
